Spring Break in October

Hello All,

I have officially covered every state on the East Coast as my travels for work have taken me to the Sunshine State of Florida. Tonight, I'm staying in Panama City, the site of "SB06" or "Spring Break 2006"- my senior year spring break road trip with my college buddies. I never really thought I'd be back here, especially for work! Nevertheless, here I am, back in Florida after living here for the 18 months following graduation. Since moving in January, I've only been back once, and that was just for a brief few days in early February to train someone in Tampa. Hard to believe it's been that long, and that it's almost November!
I'll be working in Panama City tomorrow, heading to Jacksonville for work tomorrow night and on Thursday, I'll be working in the Ocala area. Friday is a travel day, so I'll be heading back to Charlotte Thursday night/Friday morning.
I hope you're all doing well and don't forget to VOTE NOVEMBER 4TH!
On the road,
Matt

Hokie Country

Friends,

I'm moving to Blacksburg.

I love this time of year. Cooler weather, leaves changing; all the things about fall I really enjoy. The last couple days I've been in Southwestern Virginia and I absolutely love it here! The rolling Blue Ridge Mountain range is beautiful this time of year and I could definitely see living in a place like this.

I'll be here working tomorrow and then heading down to Charlotte where I'll stay Thursday night before heading to Asheville for the weekend. Tennessee next week and from there, my schedule is yet to be determined. Just trying to stay flexible like I've been forced to be all year!

Hope you're all well!

On the road,

Matt

I'm a Coke guy myself

Hello All,

...and greetings from the birthplace of Pepsi Cola: New Bern, North Carolina! Everybody knows about Coke and its history in Atlanta, but few could recite the birthplace of Coke's arch rival, Pepsi. I'll admit, I didn't know, either, until I drove into town and saw the billboard today! I spent the morning in downtown New Bern, at a store called Mitchell's Hardware, oddly enough, before heading south to Havelock and Northwest to Greenville (home of East Carolina), where I'm staying tonight.
The past two weeks, I've been working out of Charlotte, which has been very nice. As my travel schedule slows down a little, it's nice to be contained to the Southeast from here on out. I'll be in eastern NC tomorrow, and then I head West to Blacksburg, VA (home of Virginia Tech) tomorrow night. I'll be working in VA Wednesday and Thursday before heading to Charlotte Thursday night and working in the office Friday.
I'm still a moving target, but it's definitely easier to find me now than before!
I hope you're all doing well and as always, thanks for reading.
On the road,
Matt

A New Direction

Hey All,

The last week has been a little topsy-turvy as I've been waiting to find out what I'll be doing the rest of the year since my schedule for October was abruptly cancelled. This week, I'll begin a project that will run for the next (roughly) 2 months, and it will keep me in the Southeast. What it entails is much of the same work I've been doing all year, but with a few differences. Now, I will no longer be a "show on wheels," traveling with the trailer. Instead, I will just drive my truck to see accounts, which will be a very nice change.

The job itself will be similar to before, but since it's a more defined project, I don't need to show as much product to customers. Kind of hard to explain, but the skinny of it is I'll be contained to the Southeast region for the rest of the year, still traveling, but now with a little less hectic schedule overall!

This week, I'll be in the Carolinas, beginning today in the Charlotte area (how convenient!). Next week, I'll be in North Carolina and Virginia, and the following week, I'll be in Tennessee. We're still working out the schedule for the end of October and November now, so there will be more to come soon.

Thanks for reading and I hope you're all doing well!

On the road,
Matt
